Chris is active in the environment and renewable energy sectors as a Non-Exec Director of NTR plc (wind and solar development, bio-fuels, waste recycling), EVO Electric Limited (electric vehicle technology) and Zenergy Power (superconductor energy technology) – in addition to being a Director of Current OpenGrid Limited (smart grid solutions). He is also Senior Independent Director of Hutchison China Medical Limited (pharmaceutical and healthcare). He has had a 28 year business career during which he was Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Finance at Global Crossing Ltd. In the mid 1990s he was Head of Corporate Finance at Cable & Wireless Plc and before that, a Director of North West Water International Ltd. He originally trained as a Civil Engineer at Imperial College, London and, after completing an MBA at Manchester Business School, worked for S.G. Warburg and Co. Ltd., followed by a period in the venture capital sector.
Tony has spent the last 23 years in the waste management and cleantech industries. After graduating from Sheffield in 1989 in Minerals Estate Management and gained his chartership as a Minerals and Environmental Surveyor. Tony’s first 6 years after qualification was spent working for the one of the largest waste management companies in the UK (Biffa Waste Services) acquiring and developing landfill and other waste management assets. Tony then spent three years at Project leader on the first PFI waste management contract submission for Biffa.
After winning and deploying tis contract Tony moved to the largest recycling in the UK (Severnside Recycling part of the D S Smith Group). Here he spent over 10 years as Commercial Director, during which time the company grew profitably into the largest recycling company in Europe. Whilst at Severnside Tony studied for his MBA at Warwick Business School.
For the 4 years prior to joining Gasrec Tony was the Managing Director of a company developing a concept called Resource Parks which looked to deploy advanced conversion technologies to intercept landfill.
James qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and spent time in Audit and in the firm’s Transaction Services Group. In 2000 he joined the M&A team at HSBC Investment Bank and worked on transactions involving a number of private and public companies in the UK and abroad. From 2002 until joining Gasrec in 2006, James was a director of British Linen Advisers, a corporate finance and advisory boutique.
An extensive background in both the commercial and residential property markets, having specialised as a Commercial Surveyor involved with industrial developments.
With an interest in land remediation Doug became involved with landfill operations in particular the gas collection and management process. Most recently he was a director of a specialist landfill gas management company.
Doug looks after the business growth and development opportunities within the company.

Satish has an established track record as a business and commercial manager with a broad technical background. He joined Gasrec from the Sustainable Energy Group within BOC, where he was a Project Development Manager. His 22 year career within BOC saw wide-ranging experience in operations and sales and marketing in the UK and Asia.
Satish holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering and a PhD from Imperial College London.
